About the Outreach Ministry
The organization, Connect Us Outreach Ministry, was started in 2005 as an outreach project. It was conducted by Minister Lowery and several women under the missionary department at a local church. The project involved visiting correctional institutes to preach, teach, and provide spiritual encouragement to imprisoned women every second and third Tuesday of the month.
In 2007, several women who had been released from prison had given their life to Christ. Many women got assistance from the ministry in the form of getting transportation to job appointments, getting connected to housing programs, and being provided with clothing and personal hygiene products due to the hard work done by Minister Lowery and her staff.

The ministry empowered women through spiritual encouragement and guidance. Through the ministry, the women regained their self-respect, obtained housing, and were able to seek employment. The program is committed to connecting women to the services that can help them in achieving self-sufficiency and obtaining a positive self-image.
